Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Grants and Contracts Officer to provide budgetary and administrative support for pre-award management, including proposal preparation and submission.

This role manages budgets, negotiates extramural awards, and coordinates with investigators, management, and external entities. Proficiency with grants.gov and NSF FastLane is preferred, along with FAR and OMB Circulars familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize projects.
• 2 years experience.
• Familiar with FAR, PHS Policies and OMB A-122/A-133.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist PIs and staff in assessing funding opportunities and submitting applications/proposals.
• Manage electronic grant submissions and budget planning for research proposals.
• Prepare, review, negotiate, and administer extramural awards.
• Act as liaison between institute management, accounting, investigators and external orgs.
• Assist in annual budget process providing data on funded programs.
• Provide ad hoc reports to management as requested.
• Perform other duties as required by manager.
