Position Summary

This position is responsible for leadership oversight and delivery of pre-award, non-financial post-award services, and post award monitoring in support of all sponsored programs activity for the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center ( FPBCC ) and Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer (EI). Will oversee the day-to-day operations and administrative management of staff performing department pre- and post-award activities for sponsored projects.

  • 1) Position requires excellent organization and communication skills, ability to
    to work under pressure situations and deadlines, and have the ability to work with
    challenging individuals and properly handle sensitive situations
  • 2) Ability to research and locate agencies funding guidelines and instructions. Able to interpret,
    and explain regulations, policies and procedures related to grant and contract submission and administration.
  • 3) Proficiency in spreadsheets is essential. Provide comprehensive information to Director and Administrators upon request
Preferred Education:

Accounting, Finance, Business or related field

Preferred Experience:

Accounting experience which includes analysis and monitoring of sponsored projects, effort reports and related payroll funding changes, and financial reporting.
Prior experience in research laboratory management would be beneficial.
