SUMMARY
The Director, Research is responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of research studies; growing client accounts by understanding their needs, guiding the research strategy, and providing insightful presentations. The role provides mentorship and direction to the research managers. To be successful, you must be experienced in market research techniques, work to ensure profitability, quality control, and project timelines, while actively contributing to the division's objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the development of RFPs.
- Own client accounts and grow them by providing strategic counsel.
- Oversee the full cycle of large-scale or complex market research projects: from research methodology, questionnaire design, data analysis, report writing, to providing strategic recommendations.
- Ensure all project management steps, in collaboration with the operations team, are on track and deliverables are met on time. This includes validation of questionnaires in test mode, training interviewers, coordinating project fielding, monitoring and validating pre-tests, overseeing the day-to-day monitoring of fielded projects, managing qualitative projects (recruiting, incentives, etc.), and coordinating end-of-field activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the market research or strategic consulting industry as a consultant or research professional
- At least 5 years of supplier-side custom research experience
- Proven expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Advanced skills in writing strategic reports and presentations
- Proven project management expertise
