Job summary

The University of Kansas, ATLAS research center, seeks a Research Associate to advance cognitive learning map models for K-12 mathematics instruction and assessment. You will contribute to research design, project management, and dissemination while collaborating with internal and external partners across education and policy landscapes.

Qualifications

• This degree or equivalent research credentials with demonstrated scholarly communication.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct, document, and synthesize developmental and empirical research.
• Experience with large spreadsheets and databases for research data management.
• Excellent oral and written communication for scholarly and practitioner audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support design, planning and implementation of learning map projects.
• Collaborate with teams to develop accessible map-based educational materials for math.
• Conduct research syntheses in K-12 education and summarize results.
• Communicate findings to external audiences including state departments and orgs.
• Assist in developing proposals for funded research projects.
