Job summary

The University of Kansas ATLAS is seeking a Research Associate to support projects that develop learning maps-based educational solutions. You will help build cognitive learning map models, design formative assessment tools, and prepare materials for proposals, working with cross-functional teams.

The role may involve traveling to Lawrence or other sites, with hybrid or remote work options. KU offers strong benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s with 3 years research experience.
• 1 year of research experience in education.
• 2 years of experience with universal design for learning.
• 1 year developing learning maps.
• Experience using complex spreadsheets and databases.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support designing, planning, and implementing learning map projects; coordinate reviews and produce technical docs.
• Conduct literature syntheses in K-12 education; summarize and analyze findings.
• Develop accessible map-based educational materials with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to developing proposals for funded projects and communicate with external audiences.
• Attend meetings onsite or via telecommunication platforms.
