The University of Kansas invites applications for a Research Associate in ATLAS to advance learning map models, plan research studies, and disseminate findings. You will work with interdisciplinary teams to design, implement, and evaluate projects addressing K-12 education and disability-focused learners.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, proven ability to manage multiple tasks, and experience leading education research studies.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in education or closely related field or Master’s with 3+ years of research experience.
• 1 year of academic or professional experience conducting, documenting, and synthesizing research in education.
• 2 years of experience in instruction, research, or assessments serving diverse learners.
• 1 year of experience developing learning maps or formal learning models.
• Excellent written and oral communication for scholarly and practitioner audiences.
• 1 year leading K-12 educational research studies.
• 1 year managing projects, studies, or published work.
• Ability to work independently and in teams under competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, planning, and implementation of learning map projects.
• Conduct research syntheses in K-12 education, summarizing literature and preparing reports.
• Lead the design and execution of research studies, securing IRB approval and analyzing results.
• Collaborate across teams to develop map-based educational materials for teaching and learning.
• Assist in developing proposals for funded research and present findings to diverse audiences.
• Lead project coordination and monitor project plans with teams.
• Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
