Yoh Life Sciences in San Diego is seeking an Ex-Vivo Research Associate to contribute to drug discovery programs targeting neurodegenerative diseases. The role requires hands-on experience with ex vivo tissue preparation and standard biochemical, cell and molecular biology techniques.

The position is onsite, Monday–Friday, day shift, for a 12-month contract with pay between $35 and $45 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with biochemical, cell and molecular biology techniques.

Yoh Life Sciences is hiring for an Ex-VivoResearch Associate in San Diego. Our startup biotech customer isseeking an experienced and motivated individual to contribute to exciting drug discovery programs advancing therapies for neurodegenerative diseases. The ideal individual will have significant hands-on experience of standard biochemical, cell and molecular biology techniques including preparation of ex-vivo tissue samples.

Location: San Diego
Pay: $35-45/hr DOE
Duration: 12 months
Shift: Onsite M-F day shift

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ex vivo tissue processing and analyses
• Assist with cell-based assays
• Maintain meticulous records of samples and reagents inventory
• Record detailed, accurate experimental protocols and procedures in the laboratory notebook
• Effectively communicate with and regularly update team members on research progress

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant scientific field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an industry setting
• Minimum 1 year experience in ex vivo tissue sample preparation and analyses
• Strong hands-on experience with standard biochemical, cell and molecular biology techniques
• Ability to execute experiments accurately, on time, and according to established protocols
• Proficiency with standard laboratory calculations, dilutions and use of multi-well plates
• Meticulous and timely record keeping
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and collaborate with scientists in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Outstanding organizational, time management, verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Cell culture of human primary cells, neurons, stem cells or induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs)
• Experience using Quantitative Capillary Western and immunochemistry techniques
