Title: Research Associate

Duration: 1-year contract with extensions

Pay: $20-22/hr

Shift: Ranging from 2-11pm

Requirements:

Experience with research or following work processes (gathering requirements, capturing notes, documentation). Any clinical experience can work as well.
Customer service experience. Ability to get people out of their comfort zone and be someone’s friend for a day. This person should enjoy working with people daily.
Strong organizational, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Ability to remain adaptable and flexible in stressful situations.
Ability to proactively identify and solve problems.
1+ year of experience with Windows and macOS.

Plusses:

Experience with virtual reality systems, cameras and optical systems, lighting systems, and audio systems.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

The Research Associate will:

Set up equipment for studies, coordinating with engineering, vendors, safety evaluators, and research team to ensure proper setup.
Conduct studies, including participant coaching, operating capture systems, and debriefing.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating as needed.
Support data collection, participant tracking, and equipment management.
Update and contribute to documentation.
Participate as a study subject when required.
Complete project tasks related to data captures, such as scripting.
Attend trainings, meetings, and standups.
Provide feedback for process improvements.

Success Criteria:

To succeed, the Research Associate should:

Review SOPs and consult leads for clarifications.
Stay updated on process changes.
Arrive on time for captures, with preparedness.
Maintain professionalism and a positive environment for participants.
Ensure high-quality data collection.
Escalate issues properly and document thoroughly.
Identify opportunities for process improvements.
Utilize downtime for additional tasks or projects.

Location & Hours:

Location: 100% On-Site

Hours: 40 hours/week, Afternoon/Evening shift from 2pm - 11pm EST (subject to change)

Compensation & Benefits:

$20-22/hour, varies based on skills and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance from day one, 401(k) eligibility after 90 days, paid sick leave, and other PTO benefits as per law.
