Our client is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Research Associate to join their preclinical research team. This role focuses on musculoskeletal biology, cell culture, and advanced molecular techniques. You’ll play a key role in optimizing laboratory workflows, processing preclinical samples, and supporting innovative therapeutic programs.
This opportunity allows you to expand your expertise in tissue handling, histology, spatial transcriptomics, multi-omics assays, and next-generation sequencing. The work you do will directly contribute to the success of high-impact research projects and the advancement of transformative therapies.
Compensation: Up to $45/hr, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Isolate and culture primary cells and cell lines (e.g., fibroblasts, myoblasts, satellite cells from human and mouse models).
- Conduct ASO screening, RNA isolation, sectioning, staining, immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), and spatial transcriptomic studies.
- Prepare and analyze RNA, DNA, and protein samples for downstream assays.
- Support preclinical in vivo studies through sample collection and processing from animal models.
- Work with FFPE samples, including tissue sectioning and preparation.
- Utilize fluorescence microscopy to capture and analyze results.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic lab documentation.
- Present findings and insights to R&D teams and leadership.
Qualifications
- Degree in molecular biology, cellular biology, or a related field (Master’s preferred but not required).
- Proven experience in primary cell culture and differentiation.
- Familiarity with next-generation sequencing workflows (RNA-seq, single-cell sequencing).
- Strong skills in histology, immunohistochemistry, and related assays.
- Experience in RNA biology or fibrosis research is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and data presentation skills.
