Job summary

The Klein lab in Systems Biology at Harvard Medical School seeks a Research Assistant II to operate the CAGE microfluidic platform and prepare genomic libraries, supporting multiple projects in bacterial perturbation, stem cell biology, and related areas.

You will work with graduate students and postdocs, maintain detailed records, troubleshoot protocols, and contribute to experimental design and data interpretation in a collaborative, fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• College background or equivalent in biological sciences or related quantitative field.
• 1–2 years related lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the CAGE microfluidic platform.
• Collaborate with lab members to support experiments and sample handling.
• Prepare genomic libraries with multi-step CAGE protocols and maintain records.
• Contribute to experimental design, data generation, and interpretation.
• Maintain rigorous documentation and participate in lab meetings.
