Job summary

Harvard University in Boston seeks a Research Assistant II for the Klein lab in Systems Biology to operate the CAGE microfluidic platform and prepare genomic libraries. You will work with graduate students, postdocs, and other lab members across projects involving bacterial perturbations and stem cell biology, helping push boundaries in biotechnology.

Qualifications

College background or equivalent work experience in biological sciences or related quantitative field.
One to two years related work experience (relevant coursework may count).
Experience with standard molecular biology techniques is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain the CAGE microfluidic platform and manage reagents and consumables.
Collaborate with lab members, supporting experiments and coordinating sample handling.
Prepare genomic libraries, execute established protocols, and assess quality.
Contribute to ongoing projects, participate in experimental design and data interpretation.
Maintain rigorous documentation and participate in lab meetings.
