Job summary

Scripps Research Translational Institute in La Jolla, CA, seeks a Research Assistant I for the Automated Synthesis Facility (ASF) PCL. Under the supervision of the ASF Scientific Director and senior staff, you will perform routine maintenance on node infrastructure and assist with Node users' research goals, inventory management, and replenishment.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field and 1–3 years of experience, preferably in organic chemistry.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or relevant scientific discipline.
• Requires 1-3 years experience; organic chemistry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work under general supervision with guidance for unusual problems.
• Independently conduct standard laboratory techniques/procedures.
• May provide interpretation and initial analyses of results.
• Limited ability to troubleshoot and modify procedures.
• May assist in designing experiments within the research plan.
