Job summary

The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, CA, is seeking a Research Assistant I to support PCL Node Operation and routine maintenance of all-node infrastructure. The role collaborates with the ASF Scientific Director and staff to assist node users and manage inventory for a national AI-programmable cloud laboratory network aligned with Genesis Mission.

Responsibilities include following supervision, performing standard lab techniques, assisting in experiments, and contributing to data

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or relevant scientific discipline or equivalent.
• 1-3 years experience; organic chemistry preferred; Master's degree with 0-2 years experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Work under general supervision and apply sound professional judgement.
• Independently conduct a wide variety of standard laboratory techniques/procedures.
• Provide interpretation and initial analyses of results.
• Assist in designing experiments to complete a segment of the research plan.
