Summary of Job Duties: A Research Assistant position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Mokarram Hossain within the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The Research Assistant will support studies focused on the in vitro and in vivo characterization of novel anti-cancer immunotherapies.
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences or related field plus 3 years of related professional lab research experience
• Experience with flow cytometry and/or small animal handling

Preferred Qualification:

• Three (3) years of experience in cell culture, flow cytometry, cloning, and/or molecular biology studies (including RT-PCR, Western blot, etc.).

Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

• Performing routine cell culture and immune cell isolation from human and mouse blood/tissues.
• Conducting flow cytometry and microscopy for cellular analysis.
• Assisting in small animal surgeries and providing post-surgical care for mice.
• Maintaining laboratory inventories and performing general lab maintenance, including glassware cleaning, autoclaving, equipment calibration, and safety checks.
• Assisting in the training of students in laboratory techniques.
