Job summary

The Federal Work Study Research Assistant at University of South Florida will support three projects spanning bilingual language development, early mathematics learning, and autism research. You will gain hands-on experience in data collection, intervention implementation, and data management in educational, developmental, and behavioral research settings.

Responsibilities include preparing study materials, scheduling, literature reviews, and assisting with reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• Student must have a Federal Work Study award and be available to work on campus.
• Sophomore standing or higher is required.
• Spanish-English bilingual proficiency is strongly preferred.
• Interest in learning about research and working with children and families.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; confidentiality in research.

Responsibilities

• Assist with child and family research activities in school and community settings.
• Support assessment, intervention, and data collection across projects.
• Score assessments and enter/verify data in research databases.
• Prepare materials for assessments, sessions, and visits.
• Assist with literature reviews, reports, and presentations.
• Participate in supervision and training meetings.
