Job Summary

Seeking experienced Claims Adjusters with advanced negotiation skills. This role focuses on analyzing and negotiating bodily injury claims, primarily attorney-represented files with varying complexity, after initial coverage, property damage, and investigation are completed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct thorough coverage and liability investigations
2. Draft coverage correspondence as needed
3. Evaluate and resolve moderate to severe bodily injury claims, including fatal cases
4. Analyze complex medical records and data
5. Research applicable laws across multiple states
6. Report large losses promptly and refer cases to the home office when necessary
7. Present high-exposure cases to senior claims management
8. Reserve losses timely and monitor reserve adequacy
9. Negotiate settlements professionally with claimants and attorneys
10. Adjust insurance policies for UM/UIM claims

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 3 years of claims adjusting experience handling complex bodily injury claims
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy
• Excellent communication skills
• Decisiveness and ability to work independently or in a team
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Guidewire is a plus
• Remote role in California

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $59,900 - $99,700. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401k, etc. Compensation considers experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
