Job Description

National General Insurance is currently hiring an experienced Bodily Injury Telephone Adjuster. The ideal candidate will be based in one of the following Pacific time zone states: California, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, and possess experience in handling homeowner, commercial, or auto liability claims. Litigation experience may be necessary for this role.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage and negotiate claims. Responsibilities include investigating and confirming the facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents, determining coverage, liability, damages, and negotiating claims within authority limits.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Handle investigations regarding all aspects of bodily injury claims (coverage, damages, subrogation, litigation) with discretion and independence within increased authority levels.
  2. Apply an intermediate understanding of insurance policies, industry standards, and organizational relationships.
  3. Determine subrogation or fraud potential and appropriate handling.
  4. Identify customer needs and work to meet them using effective customer service skills.
  5. Recognize and identify vehicle body parts and understand potential property damage.
  6. Partner with relevant teams on claims involving fraud or subrogation to achieve optimal outcomes.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not include supervisory duties.

Preferred Qualifications:
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of related experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary adjuster licenses.
Functional Skills
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management and case handling skills.
  • Proficiency in Word and Outlook.
Compensation

Pay Range: $41,200.00 - $99,190.00, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits and financial components are included as part of the total rewards package.
