The South Carolina Department of Social Services is seeking candidates for the Child Welfare Services Case Worker Assistant role within Chester County. You will support casework in assessment, family preservation and foster care, and help plan services with a professional team.

You may assist with transportation, records requests, referrals, and packet preparation while ensuring the privacy of personal information. This role requires a valid driver's license and field work readiness.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma and three years of clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business or general business experience.
• An Associate Degree and two years of experience in clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business, business administration, or general business.
• A Bachelor's Degree may substitute for part or all of work experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with assessment, family preservation and foster care.
• Arrange transportation to community resources as part of social service aide plan.
• Prepare and refer to service providers, group conferencing and other referrals.

Job Duties:

• The Child Welfare Services Case Worker Assistant provide services to remedy abuse, neglect, exploitations, or self-neglect of adults or children unable to protect themselves. Human Services Specialist I will assist Human Services Specialist II's with providing casework services in the area of assessment, family preservation and foster care.
• Provide or arrange transportation to resources in the community as a part of social service aide plan.
• Participate as a member of a professional team to plan services for clients.
• Make requests for educational, medical, dental, law enforcement records etc.
• Make referrals to service providers, family group conferencing, seneca search etc.
• Assist with the completion of Foster Care Review Board packets, IV-E packets, Home Studies, and ICPC packets etc.
• Assist with the transportation of children.
• Assist with child and family visitation and teach appropriate parenting and household management skills.
• Assist with other administrative support functions to include correspondences, copy, fax, email etc.
• Perform other related duties as directed by supervisor. Perform shelter/emergency response duties when needed and as directed (FTE only).
• To ensure that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. To protect the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.

Qualifications:

A High School Diploma and three (3) years of experience in clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business, business administration, or general business.

An Associate Degree and two (2) years of experience in clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business, business administration, or general business.

A Bachelor's Degree may be substituted for part or all of work experience.

Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to and be able to operate a motor vehicle. Individuals must comply with necessary field work assignments.
