Job summary

The Maryland Longitudinal Data System Center seeks a data analyst to design, develop, and maintain high-impact interactive reports and dashboards translating complex data into policy-relevant insights. The role reports to the Director of Reporting Services and supports state and federal reporting with data requests and analyses.

Expectations include leveraging Power BI, Stata, and PowerPoint to produce timely outputs while ensuring strict privacy compliance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Six years of administrative staff or professional work.
Substitute up to four years of experience with 30 college credits per year.
Bachelor’s degree plus two years of experience may substitute for the required experience.
Master’s degree may substitute for the required experience.
Armed Forces service may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high-impact interactive reports and dashboards.
Create reports and dashboards required under state statute with deadlines.
Fulfill general data requests and analyses for state agencies.
Leverage statistical and data visualization software to streamline workflows.
Ensure strict compliance with state/federal privacy laws in all outputs.
Represent the MLDS Center at legislative hearings, agency meetings, and conferences.
