Job summary

The Reporting Services Analyst at the Maryland Longitudinal Data System Center will translate complex education and workforce data into policy-relevant insights for state decision makers in Baltimore. The role supports the Director of Reporting Services by designing legislatively mandated reports and handling advanced analytics with privacy-compliant data handling.

Located in Baltimore, the position is telework-eligible with required office attendance two days per week.

Qualifications

• Two or more years designing, developing, and/or maintaining interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI, Stata, or similar software.
• Proficiency in Power BI and Stata or similar statistical software and data visualization tools.
• Ability to present complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Job description

The Reporting Services Analyst (Administrator III) develops and maintains interactive reports, dashboards, and data analyses for the Maryland Longitudinal Data System Center, translating complex education and workforce data into policy-relevant insights for state decision makers. Reporting to the Director of Reporting Services, this role designs legislatively mandated reports, manages data requests, conducts advanced analytics, and ensures compliance with privacy regulations. The position is located in Baltimore and is telework-eligible with required office attendance 2 days per week.

Key qualifications:

• Two or more years designing, developing, and/or maintaining interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI, Stata, PowerPoint, or similar software
• Six years of administrative staff or professional work experience (or equivalent education substitution)
• Proficiency in Power BI and Stata or similar statistical and data visualization software
• Ability to organize and present complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Knowledge of standard research methodology and principles at expert level of proficiency
