Axios is a media organization delivering trustworthy, award-winning news in an audience-first format. We’re hiring reporters to write for our newsdesk.

Reporting to our Head of News, the news writers will be the 24/7 nerve center for the newsroom, with a 'see it, write it' mentality and fast-twitch reflexes to cover breaking stories in real time. Starting salary ranges from $75,000 to $125,000, and we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and flexible work options

Starting salary

Starting salary for this role is in the range of $75,000 - $125,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation benefits. Axios ' compensation philosophy takes into account cost of labor differentials across the country. Because this is a remote-optional job posting, this salary range takes into account all possible locations within the United States, but candidates will only be eligible for the salary range for their location.
