Job summary

Axios is a media company seeking a Business Development Associate to join our advertising sales team in Washington, DC. You will identify and develop new revenue opportunities, secure and nurture client relationships, and help drive growth for Axios’ core media products.

Ideal candidates bring at least one year of client service experience, strong communication and time-management skills, and proficiency with CRM systems to manage sales pipelines from outreach to close.

• Proven customer or client service experience (at least one year preferred).
• Experience managing top-of-funnel sales pipelines including researching, prospecting new business leads, outbound outreach, and organizing inbound interest.

As a Business Development Associate, you will serve an integral role in securing, maintaining and growing relationships for Axios’ core media team with thoughtful outreach and exceptional service to potential clients. Working on a growing team, you’ll be identifying and developing new revenue opportunities and, ultimately, growing the revenue of this successful team.

Starting salary for this role is in the range of $26/hour - $34/hour ($54,080 - $70,720 annually based on a 40-hour work week) and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills.
