Job summary

Steuben Foods, Inc. is seeking motivated individuals for an Elma, NY warehouse role. You will help ensure food safety, inspect aseptic products, and prepare pallets for shipment in a busy, safety‑minded environment.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and pallet handling knowledge. The position pays $19.60–$20.60 per hour and offers benefits as described. Equal opportunity employer in a team‑oriented company.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for food safety and quality.
• Sort and inspect aseptic product from finished production lots authorized for release by QS.
• Ensure finished repalletized pallets are neatly stacked and securely shrink-wrapped for shipment.
• Ensure proper documentation/pallet identification is accurate.
• Responsible for scanning and tagging of all pallets before shipment.
• Prioritize files according to QS/shipping for timely release of customer requests.
• QC hold product quarantine including Class 1 holds.
• Assist in special projects such as additional labeling of finished goods.
• Assist with sorting and inspection of production holds when workload allows.
• Assist production with palletizing when workload allows.
• Daily sanitation of the repal work area.
• Written labor report for pallets inspected daily.
• All other duties as assigned

Work Specifications – Responsibilities

• Responsible for food safety and quality
• Sort and inspect Aseptic product from finished production lots, which have been stored in the warehouse and authorized for release by QS. Notify Quality Management of any quality defects found. (Leakers, bloaters, damaged packs, illegible codes, misalignment of carton opening etc.)
• Ensure finished repalletized pallets are being neatly stacked and securely shrink-wrapped for proper protection for shipment
• Ensure proper documentation/ pallet identification is accurate
• Responsible for scanning and tagging of all pallets before shipment.
• Prioritize files according to QS/ shipping for timely release of customer requests
• QC hold product quarantine including Class 1 holds.
• Assist in special projects (ex.) Additional labeling of finished goods requested by Steuben/ customers.
• Assist with sorting and inspection of production holds when workload allows.
• Assist production with palletizing when workload allows.
• Daily sanitation of the repal work area.
• Written labor report for pallets inspected daily.
• All other duties as assigned
