Job summary

Steuben Foods Inc. in Elma, NY seeks an experienced Receiving Clerk to support warehousing and receiving operations. You will coordinate deliveries, enter receipts, and assist inventory control in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has prior receiving experience and familiarity with MRP and inventory systems, plus strong organizational and communication skills. Onsite schedule, full-time with occasional weekend audits.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receiving activities, including delivery appointments and locations.
• Enter and maintain accurate receipts in Protean or related inventory systems.
• Maintain organized receiving records and support inventory control.
• Assist with inventory level management through effective communication.
• Verify BOM information against physical receipts.
• Support raw material tagging processes in collaboration with IT.
• Assist with off-site receiving activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate receiving and inventory information in applicable systems.
• Take on new projects and support organizational initiatives as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (with occasional weekend work required for audits and month-end activities)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Receiving Clerk to support our Warehousing and Receiving operations. This position is responsible for coordinating receiving activities, scheduling delivery appointments, maintaining receiving records, entering receipts into inventory systems, and supporting accurate inventory control.

The ideal candidate will have previous receiving experience, familiarity with MRP and inventory control systems, and the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate receiving activities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate receiving activities, including delivery appointments and delivery locations
• Enter and maintain accurate receipts in Protean
• Maintain an organized receiving recordkeeping system
• Assist with inventory level management through effective communication and coordination
• Verify Bill of Materials (BOM) information against physical receipts
• Support and refine the raw material tagging process through collaboration with Information Technology
• Support off-site receiving activities as needed
• Maintain accurate receiving and inventory information within applicable systems
• Take on new projects and support organizational initiatives as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience in receiving, warehouse receiving, or a related environment
• Experience working with an MRP system and/or inventory control system
• Basic computer skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to maintain accurate records and information
• Willingness to take on new projects and support organizational initiatives
