Job summary

Marposs Group is seeking a Repair Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and test MIDA touch probes and related machine tool products in our North American service operations. The role reports to the North American Service Manager and emphasizes handling non-functioning products, failure analysis, and accurate repair documentation.

The candidate should have strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical ability, with an Associate's Degree in Electronics and mechatronics or 1-2

• Associate's Degree in Electronics and mechatronics or 1-2 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and test MIDA touch probes and related machine tool products.
• Receive non-functioning products from customers and perform detailed failure analysis to determine root cause.
• Maintain accurate repair records and quality documentation for all repairs completed.
• Manage and maintain repair inventory to support timely customer service.
• Coordinate with the Marposs headquarters and distribution center in Italy regarding repairs, technical issues, parts requirements, and product updates.
• Communicate directly with customers regarding repair status, technical findings, and recommended corrective actions.
• Prepare quality reports and assist with identifying recurring product issues and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Perform incoming inspections, functional testing, and final verification to ensure repaired products meet Marposs quality standards.
• Occasionally provide technical support and product guidance to customers and internal teams.

Reporting to the North American Service Manager, the position obtains technical information regarding the nature of the customer’s complaint; Performs and concludes corrective measures which may include troubleshooting, repairing, calibration, and or programming.
