Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Design, or related technical field.
• 2–4 years of related engineering design or repair experience, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks is required.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Made2Manage or similar).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook).
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform reverse engineering of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and related components.
• Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
• Apply tolerances and vendor data to ensure accuracy and manufacturability.
• Review job documentation to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Evaluate wear, damage, and failure modes to determine repair methods.
• Recommend repair processes to optimize cost, quality, and turnaround time.
• Approve and release drawings for production at assigned locations.
• Collaborate with repair technicians, machinists, and operations personnel.
