Job summary

Yates Industries Inc. in Saint Clair Shores, MI, is seeking a Hydraulic Cylinder Assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble cylinders per drawings, test them, and operate the 5000 psi test stand, while maintaining safety and quality in a busy shop environment.

The role requires a mechanical background, ability to read blueprints, and lifting up to 50 lbs. We offer competitive wages, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to read a tape measure and calipers.
• Prior heavy assembly experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cylinders according to drawings, blueprints and test instructions.
• Use hand tools, overhead cranes, pneumatic tools and torque wrenches.
• Test, tag and assemble cylinders.
• Operate a 5000 psi test stand.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and observe safety rules.
• Perform other shop duties as needed.
