Yates Industries Inc. in Saint Clair Shores, MI, is seeking a Hydraulic Cylinder Assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble cylinders per drawings, test them, and operate the 5000 psi test stand, while maintaining safety and quality in a busy shop environment.

The role requires a mechanical background, ability to read blueprints, and lifting up to 50 lbs. We offer competitive wages, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Competenze

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and drawings.
• Ability to read a tape measure and calipers.
• Prior heavy assembly experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work 40 hours per week.

Mansioni

• Assemble cylinders according to drawings, blueprints and test instructions.
• Use hand tools, overhead cranes, pneumatic tools and torque wrenches.
• Test, tag and assemble cylinders.
• Operate a 5000 psi test stand.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and observe safety rules.
• Perform other shop duties as needed.

Responsibilities:

•Ensures cylinders are properly assembled according to drawings, blueprints, and test instructions on work orders

•Uses hand tools, overhead cranes, pneumatic assembly tools, and torque wrenches to assemble cylinders

•Assembles, tests, and tags all cylinders.

•Operation of 5000 psi test stand.

•Familiar with small and very large hydraulic cylinders and sealing systems

•Clean and organize work area daily

•Observe safety at all times

•Any other shop related duties as needed.

•High School Diploma or equivalent

•Able to prioritize jobs.

•Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

•Mechanical background
