Job summary

Superior Rents in Missouri seeks a Rental Technician for a full-time position. You will deliver excellent customer service, determine the appropriate equipment for projects, and ensure all rentals include required accessories and contracts.

Daily tasks include loading/unloading, securing loads, and verifying equipment on return. Applicants should have a high school education or equivalent, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent industry experience required.
• Clean driving record with valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to each customer you interact with.
• Identify equipment purpose and help ensure proper equipment is rented for the project.
• Knowledge of routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of rental equipment.
• Ensure all needed accessories are included and added to the rental contract.
• Load/unload equipment for customers and secure loads per guidelines.
• Check equipment in upon return and clean/test equipment for proper operation.
• Follow all company policies and department procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, yard, wash rack, and storage areas.
• Perform duties with minimal supervision and maintain a strong work ethic.
• Maintain safety and attend scheduled shifts; deviations require manager approval.

Job Type: Full-time

Superior Rents, a rapidly growing construction equipment rental company with three locations, currently has an excellent career opportunity for a Rental Technician. Superior Rents has been serving our construction equipment rental customers for over 20 years with record setting growth and achievement. Duties:

• -Provide excellent customer service to each and every customer with whom you come in contact.
• -Ability to identify equipment's purpose and provide relative information in helping to ensure the customer has rented the proper equipment for their project.
• -Knowledge of routine maintenance and basic trouble-shooting requirements of all rental equipment.
• -Ensure all needed accessories are included, loaded and added to the rental contract prior to leaving the branch.
• -Load/Unload equipment for customers using care to avoid any damage to vehicle or equipment.
• -Properly secure every load, every time per company guidelines.
• -Check equipment in upon return.
• -Clean equipment after each rental. Follow service procedures for each item. Thoroughly test equipment for proper operation. Return equipment to the appropriate rental ready line.
• -Must have knowledge of company policies and all department procedures and follow them at all times.
• -Keep work area clean and orderly, with daily cleaning of the yard, wash rack and rental storage areas
• -Be able to perform duties with minimal supervision, always maintaining a strong work ethic.
• -Be responsible and maintian a safe workplace.
• -Attendance is especially important. Deviations from assigned schedule must be approved in advance by the Manager.

Physical Requirements

• -Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and kneel for prolonged periods of time and climb stairs and ladders.
• -Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds above shoulder level without assistance and push and pull heavy loads – 50 pound minimum.
• -Must have a clean driving record with valid drivers license required
• -High school education or equivalent industry experience required.
• -Valid drivers license required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Exposure to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.

• 8 Hour Shift (7a-4p or 8a-5p with 1 hour lunch break)
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends seasonally 7a-12p
