Job summary

Connect Rentals in Texas is seeking an experienced equipment technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair a range of machines, engines, hydraulics, and power trains in a fast-paced shop. You will inspect components, follow service manuals, and document work performed to ensure quality and safety.

This on-site role requires owning basic tools, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work with others in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Must own and maintain the necessary tools to perform the job.
• Must have a clean driving record and valid Driver's License.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Safely operate, inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment.
• Follow service manuals for removal and installation of components.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair engines, hydraulics, and power trains.
• Document work performed on the equipment.
• Collaborate with coworkers to assist other technicians.
• Provide timely work on each job to ensure satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Safely and properly operate and inspect machines, vehicles, and/or engines to diagnose defects.
• Must be capable of removal and installation of components by following the appropriate service manual.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair all components of equipment including but not limited to engines, power trains, hydraulics, fuel systems, power generation, and electrical codes.
• Work well with co-workers and assist other technicians when needed.
• Provide timely work on each job to ensure satisfaction.
• Formally document the work done on the equipment.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Physical Requirements

Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, working outdoors in the environment can be exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud. Lifting over 50lbs is a job requirement. Must not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights. Must have the ability to sit, stand, lay on ground, bend over, and move intermittently.
