Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Rental Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. This role is essential in ensuring that rental equipment is in top working condition before leaving the shop and inspecting returned equipment for necessary repairs or damages.

Responsibilities:
Equipment Diagnostics & Repair:
  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on construction and rental equipment.
  • Work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure full functionality.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
  • Inspect returned equipment, assessing proper operation and identifying customer damage.
Parts & Inventory Coordination:
  • Ensure parts are accurately pulled for repairs, reporting any discrepancies to management.
  • Research and request necessary parts, adding them to work orders and forwarding details to the parts department.
  • Accurately document and process stock parts, ensuring they are properly removed from inventory.
Customer Communication & Service:
  • Provide timely follow-ups with customers regarding equipment repairs and service updates.
  • Inform customers of additional repair needs, offering options for immediate service or future scheduling.
  • Ensure all equipment is cleaned and in excellent condition before being returned to the customer.
Operational Efficiency & Compliance:
  • Complete repairs within company-allotted timeframes, ensuring timely turnaround.
  • Update and modify repair ticket transactions as needed for accurate record-keeping.
  • Follow end-of-day closing procedures, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area, including shop spaces and workbenches.
Collaboration & Communication:
  • Maintain professional communication across departments, utilizing radio acknowledgment protocols.
  • Follow manager instructions, demonstrating independence and adaptability to different assignments.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring clear communication and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Uphold the company’s mission statement and core values in all operations.
Requirements
