Job summary

Boyne Resorts is seeking a Rental Technician at The Summit at Snoqualmie to help guests gear up for a safe, exciting mountain experience. You will fit boots, adjust bindings, and manage daily equipment inventories with a friendly, service-driven approach.

Join our team to maintain a welcoming shop, support guests during peak times, and contribute to a high-performing rental operation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic computer skills and daily inventory experience.
• Multitasking and strong guest service skills.
• Must wear provided uniform and name tag.
• Preferred: prior experience in ski/snowboard rental or retail.
• Familiarity with rental software and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized boot fitting and binding adjustments, fit skis and snowboards for guests, and demonstrate how bindings work.
• Adjust and test bindings, and perform general maintenance and repairs on equipment, ensuring guest safety through strict attention to detail.
• Complete daily opening, cleaning, and closing duties as assigned.
• Use basic computer skills to manage daily inventory, including scanning equipment in and out.
• Maintain a clean, inviting shop, and assist guests during peak hours to minimize wait times.
• Greet guests and determine their equipment needs with a friendly, proactive service.
• Exceed Rental Shop goals and standards through integrity and teamwork.

Overview

The Rental Technician is responsible for fitting and renting boots, skis, and snowboards — all with a welcoming smile and a focus on guest satisfaction. This role ensures every guest is properly equipped for a safe and fun experience on the mountain. Technicians use the rental shop’s scanning system to check equipment in and out, helping maintain accurate inventory and efficient gear management.

Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is a lot to do all year long.

Responsibilities

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

Excellence in Execution

• Provide personalized boot fitting and binding adjustments, fit skis and snowboards for guests, and demonstrate how bindings work.
• Adjust and test bindings, and perform general maintenance and repairs on equipment, ensuring guest safety through strict attention to detail.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

Required

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic computer skills.
• Multitasking and guest service skills.
• Daily inventory management experience.
• Must wear the provided uniform and name tag at all times while on shift.

Preferred

• Previous experience in ski/snowboard rental, retail, or guest service.
• Familiarity with rental software and point‑of‑sale systems.

Wage and Benefit Info:

The wage range for this positions is: from $21.00-23.00/hr

This is a non-benefited role.

• All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2‑year vesting cliff).
• All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
• All Team Members may participate in our Ally Heath benefit. It gives fast and easy access to Telemedicine and Mental Health appointments. It covers all family members and there are no copays or deductibles. It is a $4 deduction each week.
