Job summary

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is hiring a Rental Technician for the Hoback Sports – Jackson, WY location. This winter seasonal, full-time/part-time role focuses on delivering a premier guest experience through smooth rental transactions and expert equipment handling.

You will work with the SnowCloud system, coordinate with rental leads, and assist guests with packages, demos, and bindings while upholding high shop standards. A passion for skiing and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of the ski industry preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort preferred.
• Cash handling skills.
• Retail/Rental experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests through the rental process with focus on experience and efficiency.
• Utilize the SnowCloud system to check out and check in equipment.
• Offer damage waivers, helmets, ski storage/basket check and demo upgrades.
• Monitor guest flow with the Lead and Supervisor to expedite rentals.
• Explain rental and demo packages to match guest needs and ensure best fit.
• Ensure equipment is returned and logged in SnowCloud.
• Adjust bindings to match renters' characteristics.
• Coordinate with Rental staff to maintain equipment and service levels.
• Maintain Rental Shop presentation standards and cleanliness.
• Cross-train with Rental Cashiers and Retail teams.
• Obtain Binding Manufacturers’ Certifications with supervisor.
• Present yourself as a Jackson Hole Mountain Resort ambassador.

Job Duties

• Assist guests through the rental process, focusing on the guest experience and efficiency of rental form time.
• Properly utilize the SnowCloud rental system to ensure all equipment is correctly checked out and checked in when returned.
• Offer every guest the following components- damage waiver, helmets, ski storage/basket check & demo upgrades.
• Consistently monitor the guest flow and work with the Lead & Supervisor to expedite the rental process.
• Understand and communicate the rental & demo equipment packages and features to ensure the best match for the guests.
• Ensure all equipment is returned efficiently and properly in the SnowCloud rental system.
• Adjust bindings to fit renters' characteristics.
• Work with Rental leads, the Rental Supervisor and the Repair staff to ensure the highest level of equipment maintenance.
• Work with supervisor to maintain Rental Shop presentation standards.
• Cross-train with the Rental Cashiers, Ski Check/Basket Check & Retail.
• Work with Rental Lead and Supervisor to obtain all Binding Manufacturers’ Certifications.
• Present yourself as a Mountain Resort ambassador by engaging the guests and providing Resort-wide information.
