Job summary

Vail Resorts in New York is hiring for winter seasonal positions across multiple roles including rentals, customer service, and retail. Starting wage is $20/hour with opportunities to engage guests and develop skills in a fast-paced mountain environment.

Roles require a passion for skiing and snowboarding, reliable customer service, and the ability to communicate in English. The work includes indoor and outdoor duties with cross-training across stores; schedules vary by location and season.

Qualifications

• Previous retail/rental experience preferred.
• Passion for Skiing/Snowboarding.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English (spoken and written).
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule; stores are open 7 days a week and hours vary by location and season.
• Cross-training to work multiple positions as needed.

Responsibilities

• This position focuses on handing out ski and snowboard boots along with helmets.
• Occasionally there will be a need to work outside to hand out ski poles for short periods of time.
• Daily interaction with our guests should be expected.
• There are no back-of-house positions in this role; other duties as assigned.

Rental Support employees are responsible for generating sales through world-class guest service through assisting customers with rental equipment.

• Follow posted staffing schedule, working all assigned days and time frames. If changes need to be made ample notice must be given. Workdays will be 8 hours a day and as close to maximum allowed by state regulations for minors.
• Complete and correct uniform will be worn every day.
• All employees will be cross trained to be able to work multiple positions with in the store according to state regulations.
• Majority of assigned duties will be inside, but there are duties that will require outdoor work for limited times. In all weather conditions.
• All duties require standing/being on your feet for the majority of the workday.
• All duties require physical movement, lifting and bending.

The expected pay range is$20.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
