Vail Resorts in Colorado is hiring for winter 2026/27 across roles including cooks, drivers, instructors and more. Seasonal positions offer one of the industry's highest pay rates, free passes, discounted lift tickets for friends and family, and extensive training and wellness benefits. Positions run winter seasonal with full-time hours available; starting wage ranges from $25.00 to $32.14 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• Minimum 2 years leadership experience.
• 2 years in retail and/or rental experience.
• Familiarity with rental and retail POS system – preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing a team size closer to 10-20 multi-unit employees.
• Providing consistent and direct feedback, coaching and guidance to team members.
• Designing, executing and tracking training plans.
• Ensuring department and staff have all necessary supplies.
• Create a rewarding environment in which to work, generate a team atmosphere.
• Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques. Managing inventory of rental and retail product.
• Communicate ideas or issues with Store and Regional Managers.
• Manage operational budgets and payroll.
• Remain current on new industry products and trends, and demonstrate knowledge of products.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsible for providing high-end customer service and store support. Assistant manager directly oversees all aspects of operations and day-to-day routine work of rental and retail associates in store. Responsible for maintaining business standards and has increased decision-making authority. Assistant Manager acts as a knowledgeable representative of our brand and drives culture inside our retail and rental stores. Fulfills day-to-day work responsibilities for the organization as needed.

The expected pay range is$25.00/hr - $32.14/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
