Job summary

Monarch Mountain is seeking a friendly Rental Shop Technician to help guests with ski and snowboard equipment, fittings, and education on site at Monarch Mountain. The role involves working with other departments to deliver outstanding service while helping guests gear up for a day on the slopes.

You will also assist with equipment tuning, reservations, and cash handling, requiring a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16; Level 2-3 requires 18.
• Legal citizen of the United States or have proper work permit authentication.
• Ability to push, lift, and move up to 40 lbs.
• Requires reaching, grasping, bending and using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, ice scrapers, torque wrench, etc.

Responsibilities

• Fit guests with boots, skis/snowboards, helmets, and poles.
• Restock, sort, and maintain equipment in an organized manner.
• Perform routine facilities maintenance and cleanup.
• Set up equipment for guest rental reservations.
• Complete all cash register and cash handling accurately.
• Assist with basic ski and snowboard tuning (Level 2-3).
• Work collaboratively with Monarch Mountain staff to provide exceptional service.

JOB SUMMARY:The Rental Department is a fun and exciting way to join the ski industry and the Monarch family. The Rental Shop Technician should have a positive attitude, attention to detail, and be customer focused. This position will work directly with our guests in providing ski and snowboard equipment, adjusting equipment, and assisting in equipment education.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:The Rental Shop Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Maintain a general knowledge of all Monarch Mountain services.Work as a team with other members of all Monarch departments to provide exceptional service.Properly fit guests with boots, skis/snowboards, helmets, and poles.Restock, sort, and maintain equipment in an organized manner.Perform routine facilities maintenance and cleanup.Other duties as assigned.
