Job summary

Monarch Mountain's Ski & Ride School is seeking winter seasonal instructors who coach guests in skiing or snowboarding using PSIA/AASI teaching methods. You will collaborate with other Monarch departments to provide exceptional service, assist with lesson line-ups, and continually develop your own teaching skills throughout the season.

Candidates should be at least 16 years old, legally eligible to work in the United States, and willing to undergo a background check.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16.
• US citizen or eligible to work in the US.
• PSIA/AASI membership and certifications preferred.
• Ski/snowboard at an intermediate level.
• Background check required.
• Ability to push, lift, and move up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Coach guests in skiing or snowboarding using PSIA/AASI teaching methods.

JOB SUMMARY:The Ski & Ride School Department is a fun and exciting way to join the on-mountain ski industry and the Monarch family. Instructors are responsible for coaching guests in skiing and/or snowboarding, continues to develop his or her own skills as an instructor, and maintains clientele through proactive service and sales efforts.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:The instructor’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Coach guests in the tactics of skiing or snowboarding, providing them with a positive and quality experience that exceeds their expectations and within the realm of the PSIA/AASI teaching methodologies.Work as a team with other members of all Monarch departments to provide exceptional service.Assist with lesson line-ups as requested.Develop skiing/boarding and teaching skills throughout the season.Fulfill department schedule and commitment levels to meet operational needsOther duties as assigned.
