Job summary

Monarch Mountain in Colorado is seeking a Rover to work across F&B, Rentals, Retail and Ticketing. You’ll assist guests, help with bookings, and stay informed about mountain services.

The role is winter seasonal with a starting wage of $19 per hour and opportunities for higher pay based on experience. Must be 18+, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, and able to work in variable weather.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and legal work eligibility in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Ability to push, lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work at high elevation.
• Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sell tickets, retail items, rental equipment and food/beverage items.
• Assist Monarch guests politely and professionally.
• Restock and organize merchandise and equipment across departments.
• Properly fit guests with boots, skis/snowboards, helmets and poles.
• Perform routine facilities maintenance and cleanup.
• Collaborate across F&B, Rentals, Retail and Ticketing as needed.

JOB SUMMARY:Want to work in multiple departments and really understand the operation of a ski area? The Rover position will work across the F&B, Rentals, Retail and Ticketing Departments to help assist in peak times and deliver the Monarch experience to all of our guests. This new position will report to the Rentals Manager, then work in one or more of those departments each day. Rovers should have a positive attitude, strive to provide timely courteous service to our guests, have a desire to understand the inner workings of the ski resort industry and enjoy moving across departments to help out where needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:A Rover’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:• Work as a team with other departments to provide exceptional service.• Conduct accurate and efficient sales of tickets, retail items, rental equipment and food and beverage items.• Communicate with and assist Monarch guests in a polite and professional manner.• Stay knowledgeable of all mountain happenings and products to assist guest with questions, bookings, and correct directions• Maintain a good working knowledge of all merchandise at Monarch as well as general knowledge of all Monarch Mountain services.• Restock, sort, and maintain equipment and goods in an organized manner.• Properly fit guests with boots, skis/snowboards, helmets, and poles.• Perform routine facilities maintenance and cleanup.• Other duties as assigned.
