Job summary

U-Haul in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Customer Service Representative to assist customers with rentals and product guidance. The role uses U-Scan technology to manage inventory and rentals, and involves moving and hooking up trucks and trailers, plus equipment inspections.

Responsibilities include invoicing, returns, hitch wiring, and propane/forklift certifications offered during employment. Safety and ongoing training through U-Haul University are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use U-Scan tech to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Clean and inspect equipment on the lot.
• Answer questions and educate customers about products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane (certification offered on employment).
• Drive a forklift (certification offered on employment).
• Participate in U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
