Hills Machinery Company in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an inside salesperson to support the rental business. You will handle transactions by phone and in person, build relationships with customers, and maximize machine utilization within the designated trade area.

The role reports to the Rental Manager. Ideal candidates have strong communication, sales aptitude, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, with the ability to use in-house systems.

Qualifications

• Previous rental experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal/written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and in-house systems.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Sales and customer relations skills essential.

Responsabilités

• Supports and builds relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Rent equipment or arrange service to customers.
• Explain rental terms and fees and provide information about items.
• Prepare rental forms and contracts; obtain signatures.
• Maintain daily and monthly contract files and logs.
• Answer phones and take orders; maintain logs.
• Notify customers of delivery delays and conditions.
• Achieve rental operational goals and invoice accuracy.
• Keep knowledge of pricing trends and competitors.
• Comply with company policies and safety requirements.
