Job summary

LOST VALLEY MANAGEMENT LLC is seeking a seasonal Rental Shop Technician in Auburn, ME. The role runs December through March and into April, supporting guests with rental gear and ensuring proper binding setup and maintenance.

The technician will guide guests through the rental process, outfit skiers and snowboarders, and maintain equipment and shop cleanliness. Candidates should be 16+ and possess strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 16+ years old.
• Ability to take direction and perform duties efficiently.
• Ability to communicate clearly and politely with guests.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• A professional, positive, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct guests through rental process and answer related questions.
• Properly outfit guests with rental gear for skiing or snowboarding.
• Become certified to properly setup (“techâ€) rental ski bindings for guest use.
• Perform routine maintenance on rental equipment fleet.
• Test rental fleet equipment to ensure industry standards as directed by Manager and Assistant Manager.
• Learn to tune Snowsports equipment and perform tuning on rental fleet as well as personal equipment.
• Look over and put away all returned rental equipment at the end of the day.
• Spray returned boots with boot-fresh.
• Maintain cleanliness of rental shop by sweeping/mopping floors.
• Aid Facilities Department by keeping Rental Shop entrances clear of snow/ice.
• Any other tasks assigned.

The Rental Shop Technician is responsible for properly outfitting guests with rental gear: boots, skis, snowboards, helmets, etc., and adjusting bindings to the proper specifications for the guests. This is a seasonal Job that starts in December and runs through March and into April.
