Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking a Rental Pump Technician in Georgia.

You will diagnose, repair, and test a range of rental pumps, ensuring safety and reliability. The role includes promoting safe work practices, improving workflows, and mentoring junior technicians to build a skilled team that meets customer needs and upholds our quality standards. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of pump systems including hydraulics, electrical components, mechanical assemblies, and diagnostic test equipment.
• Ability to safely operate and test pumps and related equipment; follow instructions and manuals.
• Read, analyze, and interpret technical information such as schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to operate service vehicles with required licenses.
• Basic computer skills and use of diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot pump deficiencies (centrifugal, trash, submersible, diaphragm, high-pressure units).
• Repair or replace pump components such as impellers, seals, bearings, housings, motors.
• Determine repairs needed and prepare orders for parts and services.
• Perform pump performance testing and calibrations with diagnostic tools.
• Fabricate or repair pump parts; light welding or brazing as needed.
• Complete work orders, parts orders, inspections, and time sheets accurately.
• Maintain safety and quality standards for reliable equipment.
