This all starts with our greatest asset…our employees.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Rental Pump Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and performing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on a wide range of rental pumps, including centrifugal, trash, submersible, diaphragm, and high-pressure units. You will ensure all pumps are maintained to the highest standards for reliability and safety before and after rental. In this role, you will also support management by promoting safe work practices, improving operational workflows within the pump service area, and enhancing equipment quality through preventive maintenance and thorough inspections. Additionally, you will assist in the development and mentoring of junior technicians to build a strong, skilled team capable of meeting customer needs and maintaining our reputation for dependable equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Repair and/or replace pump components such as impellers, seals, bearings, housings, motors, and associated hydraulic or electrical systems.
  • Determine the extent of necessary repairs, including identifying major overhauls, and preparing orders for required parts and services.
  • Perform pump performance testing, calibrations, and adjustments using diagnostic tools to ensure proper operation and compliance with specifications.
  • Fabricate, modify, or repair pump‑related parts and fittings as needed, including light welding or brazing when required.
  • Complete all documentation (work orders, parts orders, inspections, warranty support, comments, and time sheets) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established time, quality standards, and safety procedures to ensure reliable equipment for customers.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.
