Job summary

National Tank & Equipment in Carlsbad, NM is seeking a Sales Coordinator to act as the operational backbone of the branch, coordinating rental requests, equipment availability, transportation logistics, contracts, dispatch activities, and branch communications.

You will work with customers, sales reps, drivers, mechanics, and branch leadership to ensure timely, accurate rentals and support revenue growth while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, communications or a related field a plus.
• 2+ year's experience in customer service, rental, logistics, sales support, or industrial required.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and possess a valid driver's license for more than 3 years with a moderately clean driving record.
• Possess or can obtain and maintain a valid TWIC card.
• Strong customer service, organization, follow‑up, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage several active orders and changing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn rental systems. RentalMan experience preferred.
• Must be willing to work a rotating on call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries, gather information, and fulfill rental requests.
• Prepare and maintain rental contracts, quotes, purchase orders, and records.
• Communicate order status, delivery expectations, and changes clearly.
• Understand the complete rental lifecycle from inquiry to closeout and invoicing support.
• Proactively manage customer communications, extensions, and exchanges.
• Coordinate available equipment with operations, drivers, and sales reps.
• Support delivery, pickup scheduling, and third‑party hauling.
• Maintain organized customer and branch records and ensure accuracy of documents.
