Job summary

Gillman Home Center is seeking a rental mechanic to maintain, repair, and service rental equipment in Winchester, VA. You will provide excellent customer service, handle rental contracts, and manage deliveries and setups for customers.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year of maintenance experience, and a valid driver's license. Stihl certification is preferred and training is provided. This is a full-time position with weekend availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1+ years related experience or training.
• 1+ years knowledge of general machine maintenance.
• Valid Driver’s License required; Chauffeur’s license preferred but not required.
• Stihl certification preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Cleans rental equipment and performs repairs/maintenance; generates purchase orders for repairs.
• Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Inspects equipment to comply with safety policies.
• Assists with DMV registration and current insurance.
• Checks out customers at the rental counter, completes contracts, takes payment, and instructs on use of items.
• Delivers and picks up rental items as needed; sets up and takedown equipment when requested.
• Loads/unloads equipment; assists in lumber yard and inside store as needed.
