Waters Hardware is seeking a dependable Rental Associate to oversee our rental department. You will coordinate all activities, maintain contracts, and ensure smooth rentals from inquiry to return, with minimal supervision.

Ideal candidates are team players with strong organizational and computer skills, able to handle multiple tasks, and willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends in a community-focused hardware store setting.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
• Superior organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn computer-based concepts quickly.
• Capable of handling multiple tasks at one time.
• Good driving record; some delivery and pick-ups.
• Engage with customers to determine equipment needs.
• Knowledge of rental equipment operations, capabilities, and limitations.
• Aptitude with small engines.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain customer relationships.
• Answer incoming phone calls and provide rental rates and quotes.
• Check rentals in and out daily and maintain contract files and reservations.
• Write rental contracts on a PC program.
• Schedule pick-up and/or delivery of rental equipment and load/unload equipment.
