Thompson Machinery, a leading Caterpillar dealer in Middle and West Tennessee and North Mississippi, is seeking a Rental General Mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair rental equipment. The role involves independent work with guidance, serving Rental Store customers, and ensuring high-quality repairs.

Qualifications include 2+ years of hands-on equipment experience and training in gas/diesel engines; strong communication skills and tool proficiency are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Gas and diesel engine and/or truck engine training preferred.
• Two+ years of hands-on equipment experience and diagnostics with rental equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and service instructions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair and prepare rental equipment for customers.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and use test equipment.
• Maintain a current valid driver's license; CDL may be required for some roles.
• Provide safe, timely, and customer-focused service.
