Stanford Home Centers is seeking an attentive associate to assist customers in-store. You will watch the floor for customers needing help, provide advice, answer questions and process paperwork for maintenance or services as needed.

Responsibilities include handling complaints (unless a manager is needed), making recommendations to management about stock and pricing, and assisting with equipment assembly and paperwork for financing where applicable.

Formación

• Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must understand basic math and be able to count, add and subtract.
• Must be able to operate a personal computer.
• Must be able to operate department-specific equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Watch the floor for customers who may need assistance and provide needed advice or information.
• Handle customer complaints, unless shopper demands to see the manager.
• Be courteous and respectful to customers.
• Make recommendations to management on new lines, stock adjustments, shortages, damages, or backorders.
• Assist management in reducing losses and improving processes.
• Assemble mowers, chainsaws and other power equipment as requested.
• Assist with financing paperwork for equipment purchases.
• Complete tasks assigned by Supervisor and management.
