Job summary

Alta Equipment Group - Material Handling in Livonia, MI is seeking a full-time Rental Coordinator to join our rental department at the Livonia headquarters. You will identify customer needs, coordinate deliveries, and manage inventory to ensure optimal fleet availability.

Responsibilities include arranging equipment transfers, managing fleet utilization and returns, coordinating repairs, building customer relationships, closing rental deals from inquiries, and supporting the outside sales team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2 years of prior experience required.
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of material handling equipment and safety.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook; familiar with E-Emphasys/eXtend.
• Intermediate reading/writing and ability to interpret safety and maintenance documents.

Responsibilities:

Alta Equipment Group - Material Handling is seeking a full-time Rental Coordinator for our Livonia, MI headquarters. Rental Coordinators will identify customer needs, coordinate deliveries, and perform inventory control for our rental department. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

• Arrange equipment transfers and logistics


• Manage fleet availability, utilization and returns


• Manage repair and maintenance of rental fleet


• Manage customer relationships


• Close rental deals from inbound inquiries and outbound telemarketing calls


• Manager vendor relationships


• Provide customers with expert advice on equipment selection


• Support outside sales force


• Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities


• Performs other duties as assigned


• Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or 2 years of previous experience

• Good computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook


• Language Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.


• Mathematical Skills - Basic: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.


• Reasoning Ability - Intermediate; Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


• Computer Skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and E-Emphasys/eXtend systems
