Job summary

Sheakley is seeking a Safety Manager for Reno, NV to lead safety across multiple commercial and industrial concrete projects, including data centers. This field-focused role minimizes office time and collaborates closely with crews, superintendents, and project leadership to drive safe operations.

The ideal candidate has OSHA certifications, 5+ years in construction safety, and bilingual English/Spanish skills, with a strong ability to coach and influence crews toward safer practices.

Qualifications

• OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to influence crews through coaching and leadership, not enforcement alone.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership across multiple active concrete construction projects throughout the Reno market.
• Conduct daily site walks, inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Maintain a visible field presence and build relationships with craft workers and supervisors.
• Support forming, finishing, tilt-up, cast-in-place, and large-scale slab operations.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with project teams to proactively address hazards before incidents occur.
