This is the first dedicated renewals hire at a fast-growing software company, so the job mixes behind-the-scenes process work with customer conversations. The day to day covers auto-renewals, forecast upkeep, contract checks, and prep for bigger accounts, with a path to owning mid-sized renewals alone within a couple of quarters. A strong candidate is organized, comfortable talking pricing with customers, writes clearly, and enjoys building playbooks from scratch.

How it fits the AI era

AI can take over much of the legwork here, such as account research, first drafts of proposals, forecast summaries, and outreach. That frees time for the parts that depend on people: reading how a customer really feels, handling objections, negotiating terms, and keeping trust through a renewal. The role also asks the hire to help decide how AI fits into the renewals workflow.

How it builds AI experience

The company sells an AI platform to plaintiff law firms, so the hire would see up close how customers judge and rely on AI for case work.
